Continuation of the essay on the cinema of Louis Skorecki through the relations of some young cinephiles.

En 2092, Nemo Nobody, âgé de 118 ans, est le dernier mortel vivant dans un monde d'immortels. Il est interrogé sur son passé et se retrouve sous les soins du docteur Feldheim, qui veut l'aider à mettre de l'ordre dans ses souvenirs brouillés. Profondément marqué par le divorce de ses parents et par ses échecs sentimentaux, le vieillard a des trous de mémoire et son témoignage est constitué d’épisodes contradictoires de son enfance, de ses amours et de sa vie conjugale. Nemo Nobody se remémore à travers différents flashbacks ses différentes vies dans des espaces-temps différents. Il imagine alors douze vies parallèles dont chacune est caractérisée par une épouse différente. Les variations de cette arborescence s'en tiennent parfois à très peu de choses, soit une illustration de l'effet papillon. Nemo livre par intermittence au spectateur quelques réflexions sur l'espace-temps, notamment le Big Crunch.

William’s great surprise, his cousin Clovis, whom he did not see again since around thirty years, arrives from New York to visit him. Reunion between both men creates one thousand memories: always so collusive, they become fast inseparable, living again, the space of moment, their young years… Only Elizabeth, wife of William, who has just lost her father, does not share their cheerfulness.

Jean-Pierre is a hit man in Paris. He wants to stop; an incentive is reconnecting to Michelle, a childhood friend. He's ready to commit himself to her, but she has her own secrets: she sells bomb components to thugs. He hears rumors of a missing briefcase, which he finds in Michelle's flat. He asks no questions, and soon both of them are in trouble with Jean-Pierre's ex-employer and with her bomb buyers. Two other characters complicate the maneuvering: Jean-Pierre's best friend, who's always losing money on the ponies, and the ex-employer's new contract killer, a seemingly fragile woman.
