1943. Alors que ses camarades sont très occupés à parler de sexualité, un trouble s'installe entre Stig, jeune lycéen et son professeur Viola. Stig est attiré par cette femme belle et mature, Viola aime chez Stig sa jeunesse et son innocence. Ils deviennent vite amants. Mais Stig rencontre fortuitement Frank, le mari de Viola, représentant de commerce, alcoolique et fantasque. Une étrange relation d’amitié va naître entre eux.

It's Valborg - Walpurgis Night. The annual celebration of spring. The doctors' choir is rehearsing for tonight's celebrations. The only ones left at the hospital are the nurse, the medical intern and the patient care technician. The doctors trust them to give the patient the proper care. It is, after all, Valborg - Walpurgis Night.

Director Jan Troell films the process of making Bo Widerberg's last film 'Lust och fägring stor' ('All Things Fair'). The footage was compiled into this documentary by Stefan Nylén and Tomas Ehrnborg in 2015.

The series is named after a small part of Saltsjöbaden called Solsidan. It revolves around Alex and Anna who are expecting their first child and have just moved to Alex's childhood home in Saltsjöbaden, Stockholm County. Alex tries to get Anna to enjoy herself, and at the same time spend time with his childhood friend Fredde.
