SMV is a bass supergroup formed in 2008. The group's name comes from the initials of each of its members, Stanley Clarke, Marcus Miller, and Victor Wooten. SMV's debut release is the "Thunder" album. Marcus Miller (bass clarinet, synthesizer, electric bass); Stanley Clarke (acoustic bass, electric bass) and Victor Wooten (electric bass).

In this dynamic concert video, electric bass virtuoso Victor Wooten mesmerizes the audience with a set that ranges from the funky "U Ain't Got No Groove" to the Beatles classic "Norwegian Wood" to the spiritual "Amazing Grace." Oteil Burbridge, longtime bassist for the Allman Brothers Band, joins Wooten on stage for the memorable finale. Wooten also shares his musical philosophy during an hourlong interview.

Bass Extremes Live is an exciting, live concert featuring Steve Bailey and Victor Wooten along with rock drummer Gregg Bissonette. Steve and Victor demonstrate how the bass guitar can supply bass lines, piano- and guitar-like comping figures, lead solos, and percussion parts in many styles of music. After each song, Steve and Victor explain the key licks and techniques they used as well as demonstrating each at a slow speed.

In 2003, after recording The Deep End, Volume 1 (2001) and Volume 2 (2002), Gov't Mule gathered several musicians that had worked on the Deep End sessions as well as a few other friends for a live concert. This was intended as the culmination of the Deep End project, which was a tribute to their late bassist Allen Woody, who died in 2000. Two CD plus DVD set recorded live at the historic Deepest End Concert in New Orleans, LA on May 3rd, 2003. DVD includes 15 minutes of behind the scenes footage plus a photo gallery.
