Billy Greenlees

Une petite ville de la banlieue de Glasgow. Gregory, un adolescent de 16 ans, s'intéresse aux études, au sport et aux filles. Hélas, ses résultats scolaires ne sont pas brillants, ses performances sportives sont peu louables et ses relations avec les filles presque inexistantes, en raison de son extrême timidité. Un jour, l'entraîneur de son équipe de foot décide d'engager une fille, Dorothy, pour tenir un poste à l'avant.

Ronnie, Wal, Andy and Vic are four bored, unemployed teens in dreary, rainy Glasgow. Ronnie comes up with a great idea. He has noticed that stainless steel sinks are worth a lot of money and comes up with a complicated scheme: to steal sinks from a warehouse dressed as girls and using a stop-motion-potion.

Jake lives in the shadow of his dying grandfather, who was once the town's toughest hard man. Despite their hatred of each other, Jake's sole aim is to be as tough as the old man was. One day in Jake's life, as he drifts, drinks and fights, leads to a bleak realisation.

Radio host Alan 'Dickie' Bird witnesses how an icecream van is attacked and destroyed by angry competitors. This leads him into the struggle between two Italian families over the icecream market of Glasgow.
